    5  Simple steps to effective run your Internet Advertising Campaign using Google Adword.

    1.  Choosing the right keywords for your Adword advertising campaign.

    The 1st place to go is to use Google’s Keyword Tool as stated below.

    Now if you are selling “hotel software”, then type “hotel software” and click “Get Keywords Ideas”.  List of keyword will be generated.

    You don’t use keyword like “Hotel” or “Software”, since it is too broad and the number of people searching using the keyword are enormous. You will lose money if you use this type of keywords.

    Try to use keywords with 2 or 3 words like the following keywords.

    a. ” hotel software”

    b. “hotel reservation software”

    c. “hotel booking software”

    Now try to get some other keywords by typing “hotel system”

    Once you have about 20 to 30 keywords which you think most suits your product / service, it is time to run your campaign.

    2. Run your advertising in selected country only.

    When you want to run your campaign, choose the right target market that you think most probably will get the sales.

    If target market is just your country then just select your country.  Or else select few countries which you think you will get sales.

    3. Start your maximum CPC cost by starting at the lowest amount first. Not by bidding the highest amount.

    To control you cost, it is better you use Manual bidding . You can set your daily budget that you want to spent. If you want to spend 1 dollar per day, key in your budget for 1 dollar/ per day.

    Now, for the “Click price limit” please state the maximum amount that you want to spend per click for both content and search.

    One of the mistakes that I made when I first run my campaign is that I didn’t key in “Click price limit”. Therefore, for every one dollar I was getting only 1 or 2 clicks per day.

    You could start with the lowest amount that is 0.01 of your currency unit, but the impression will be low and as click as well.

    But for starting purpose, why not start with low amounts that produce good number of impression and maximize the number of click that you get.

    Some of my campaign I am running my cost per click is just 0.02 MYR and for content is 0.04 the minimum required.

    4. Do you want to show your ads in Google Search or Content Network.

    If your product is mass market product like man’s health product then you want to run your product in Google Search and The content network. Both ways will produce a good result

    However, if your product type is niche market it is better you show you ads in Google Search only. Since they are searching for you.

    This way you will be getting higher number of quality clicks which could translate to better sales.

    5. Alway fine tune you adword advertsing campaign.

    Refine keywords that work. Weed out keywords that don’t. If “hotel system” is working well, try adding “hotel reservation system ” and other variations.

    If your budget is not being spent, try new keywords.

    Try also other type adword variation, which will attract your potential clients.
